Surgical Procedure

Warning : the system can only be used by surgeons who are trained and qualified for the treatment of male incontinence and who are specifically trained to the use of the TOM-Sling medical device as per the manufacturer approved protocol.

The procedure of Tom-Sling implantation is a minimally invasive surgical procedure allowing bulbar urethral compression. It takes between 45 to 60 minutes and can be carried out under regional (spinal) or general anaesthesia.

The TOM-Sling® is a medical device for the treatment of male urinary incontinence, manufactured and distributed by  MEDI-LINE company, developed by the Professor J. de Leval et D. Waltregny from the University Hospital of Liège and the University of Liège.
